A huge congratulations to St. Olav's two Unge Forskere finalists from 3IB: Maria Catherine Brandt and Wiktor Kaluza who were both awarded a third place in the Science & Technology category in Oslo last week.
They enjoyed a packed two days of exhibiting their work, meeting judges from the Norwegian Research Council as well as other delegates before finishing the experience with a delegates' celebratory meal at Holemkollen. Catherine's work was on: Investigating which natural anti-tumor fruit and vegetable juice is the most effective in preventing the growth of Agrobacterium tumefaciens collected from white birch tree galls. While Wiktor wrote on: An Investigation on the Effect of Voltage on Eddy Current Magnetic Damping. Well done to both of you - St. Olav and the IB department are proud of you!
