International Woman's Day, March 8th, 4 students from St. Olav vgs were invited to join the march and speak afterwards at an informal gathering in Tou Scene cafe. Julie Louisa Akerø-Stueland (1STE), Maren Andvik (2IBC), Liva Bø-Myge (1STE) and Fredisima Hviding (2IBB) were excellent representatives of our school starting with general speeches at Byparken then walking with the march bearing the banners.

Later, at Tou Scene, they were asked to give a speech from the position of young women today and they spoke with confidence, assurance and enthusiasm to deliver a mature and thoughtful speech that the crowd - including politician Kari Elisabeth Keski and mayoral candidate Eirik Faret Zakariassen warmly applauded. They lifted our spirits with a final promise that their voices of change will be heard!
