Onsdag 13. mars deltok 125 St. Olav elever på en aktivitetsdag med tema: « Hermetikkbyen Stavanger». John Gunnar Johnsen innledet og avsluttet dagen med foredrag.
Franskelevene koser seg på Fransk Riviera ! Godt humør, fantastisk by, sol, varme, kjekk språkskole, sol, god mat og god opplevelse hos franske vertsfamilier
This is the getting to know you day where all schools give a 10 minute presentation on themselves and their country. We had rehearsed this in detail (even at the airport yesterday!) and did a good job persuading everyone to visit Stavanger.
International Woman's Day, March 8th, 4 students from St. Olav vgs were invited to join the march and speak afterwards at an informal gathering in Tou Scene cafe. Julie Louisa Akerø-Stueland (1STE), Maren Andvik (2IBC), Liva Bø-Myge (1STE) and Fredisima Hviding (2IBB) were excellent representatives of our school starting with general speeches at Byparken then walking with the march bearing the banners.

Thursday, March 7th saw the annual English Speaking Union (ESU) Speech Competition at St. Olav vgs with entries from students in vg1 and 2IB. Our speakers delivered varied and entertaining speeches on the topic "Nature is a Common Language" before the voting took placce and our winner was announced - Samuel Duerto (2IB).
10 students and 1 teacher from the International Class in St. Olav vg1 are headed off to Warsaw on the second part of our Erasmus Project with schools from Scotland, Finland, Italy and Poland. The students will stay with local families and learn about each others cutlures, traditions and languages while working on developing our tourist App for young people visiting our cities.
